Voodoo Bayou

34

Voodoo Bayou was born in the heart of south Louisiana. The bayou rhythms and Southern spirit shaped its storytellers, dreamers, and its musicians. The Band formed in 2010 around singer/songwriter and guitarist Kyle Domangue, guitarist Michael Klaus, bassist Jody Naquin, along with a circle of collaborating artists. Their goal: craft original, Indie, Southern roots rock that honors its heritage while forging a sound all their own.

The band’s journey began with writing and recording their debut album, Southern Style. The project led them to the legendary Studio in the Country located in Bogalusa, Louisiana, a room that has hosted icons like Kansas, Stevie Wonder, and The Neville Brothers.  These sessions shaped the band’s creative identity, and Southern Style was released in 2013, marking the Band’s purpose and voice.

In late 2013, professional drummer/percussionist, Sam LeCompte joined the Band.  Sam’s arrival brought fresh energy and helped rebuild a foundational groove that the Band still relies on today.

Over the years, Voodoo Bayou has been joined by talented friends and musicians including, Mark Duet (keyboardist for Keith Whitley and Louisiana’s “Rockin’ Fiddler” Waylon Thibodeaux), Rod Roddy (keyboardist for LeRoux and Levee Band), and Randy Carpenter (drummer for LeRoux, Jo’El Sonnier, and Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown).

In 2022, the band welcomed keyboardist Billy “Wild Bill” Stark as the fifth permanent member.  Billy’s 50+ years of performing brings energy, intensity, and a fresh dimension to the Band.

SOUTHERN STYLE“ opened doors to stages that welcomed original music. VOODOO BAYOU has shared the stage with national artists like Restless Heart, Eddie Money, and Phil Vassar.  The Band’s members have also opened for acts such as The Doobie Brothers, Gin Blossoms, LeRoux, Zebra, The Cowsills, and Anders Osborne.

Caleb and John

7:00 PM

Caleb & John are proving that joy and hope belong at the center of Christian music. With a #1 Christian Radio hit under their belt (Somebody Like Me), this high-energy duo is keeping their foot on the gas with their newest single, Finished — an upbeat, anthemic reminder that no matter what life looks like, God isn’t done yet.

The duo came to music through totally different paths. Caleb, a pastor’s kid and classically trained musician, grew up on Christian radio. John, one of six kids and the only boy, taught himself guitar and piano through YouTube videos and leaned toward a gritty, rootsy sound. While touring and playing for artists like Sam Hunt, CAIN, Katy Nichole, and Anne Wilson, the two were introduced by a mutual friend. What started as a casual jam session quickly turned into something deeper — a creative connection that brought out the best in both of them.

Their blend of Caleb’s pop sensibilities and John’s raw edge has given them a signature sound: joyful, bold, and soaked in truth. Hallelujah Feeling, their debut single, hit #3 on the charts and introduced fans to their vibrant style. But it was Somebody Like Me — a heartfelt anthem featuring CAIN — that struck a deeper chord, landing them their first #1 on Christian radio and opening doors to a rapidly growing fanbase.

Two different backgrounds. One unified message. Caleb & John are just getting started — and the joy is contagious.
